Launching in London in 2026
Small, real-world experiences to help busy minds switch off
Unsignal creates phone-free, designed experiences for people who spend their days at full signal — curated calm for overstimulated creatives and tech professionals.
Why this exists
Modern life runs at full signal — notifications, deadlines, noise.
Even rest has started to feel like another task. Unsignal is a design-led project that creates space to slow down.Every month we curate small, phone-free experiences that test what actually helps people reset — sometimes quiet, sometimes collective, always real. It’s also the beginning of a quiet community: thoughtful people learning how to turn the volume down, together.
How it works
1. We curate
Every month we design a new experience around calm — from still, sensory formats to more offbeat group settings.
2. You show up
Small groups. No phones. 90 minutes of decompression. Nothing forced, nothing abstract.
3. We learn together
Each experience ends with a short reflection — a simple way to notice what shifts and share insights across the group.
What we're exploring
Collective Calm
How being around other people changes your ability to focus inward.
Designed Stillness
The impact of space, sound, and light on mental quiet.
The Unusual Reset
Testing experiences that weren’t built for calm — but might create it anyway.
Join the first series of experiences
We’re starting in Hackney, London, later this year.
Each 90-minute experience explores a different way to switch off — quietly, collectively, and without pressure.
FAQs
Is this therapy?
No. Unsignal isn’t therapy. It’s a design project exploring calm, environment, and what happens when people share space without their phones.
Who run the experiences
For now, the Unsignal team curates and hosts them — researching what’s out there, designing the formats, and running each one simply and thoughtfully.
What does 'experimental' mean?
It means each experience is a live test. Some are quiet, some social, some unexpected. We observe what works and iterate from there.
Where will they be held?
We’re starting in Hackney, East London, before expanding into other neighbourhoods.
How often will they be held
Roughly every 1–3 weeks, depending on the experience and venue once we know there is interest.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is still being finalised. Pilot experiences are expected to cost around £30–£35 to cover venue and production.
Is it sober?
Yes. No alcohol, no substances, and phones stay away during the experience.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Most people will. The experiences are designed to feel comfortable whether you come solo or with a friend.
Can I host an experimental experience?
Later on, yes. We plan to open Unsignal to local practitioners and facilitators who want to test new ideas for calm. Email [email protected] to be considered for future collaborations.
